St. David’s Day is celebrated annually on March 1st and is the national day of Wales.
St. David, the patron saint of Wales, is known for his teachings, simplicity, and miracles. In a reception or early years setting, educators can introduce children to the St. David’s Day celebration and its significance in a fun and engaging way.
To mark the day, many Welsh people around the world wear one or both of Wales's national emblems - a daffodil and a leek. Special concerts and parades are also held in St David's honour.
